My school was not a very modern type, in fact it was very low budgeted school, the students themselves came from very poor or moderate families. So although, there was a subject and class specially for physical exercise, we were never introduced to sports like football or swimming or the horse riding or cricket.
The only luxury that we had was running competition or some other Indian traditional game like Hu Tu Tu.
What sports you were introduced in your school ?
In winter we played hockey, summer we swam, played tennis, netball, rounders. However, the UK weather was sometimes really nasty and we didn't always want to be out in the cold. We were lucky that there were some public gardens near the school which had these types of facilities (tennis courts, netball courts and a hockey pitch) but nowadays a lot of kids don't get this opportunity. We also had a gym where we practised gymnastics. I loved sports whilst at school. _________________ Early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese!
we had to do sport a few times a week, our facilities were good and it became a sports college after I left - we had a gym, trampolines, squash badmington, tennis, hockey, netball, basketball, fields sports, athletic equipment...and I can honestly say I hated every class!!!! I used to choose to do step aerobics in teh squash courts as they were out of teh way of the teachers and we could just sit and talk and keep check on teh teacher arriving when we'd jump up and start following the video!
That sucks that you don't have any limited physical activities in your school. For me, I'm extremely lucky. In my school, we have a extensive athletics department. We also have PE every single day, for free. (We are required to have two years of PE to graduate High School.) You do have have to pay for the uniform, but that's it. As for sports in our school, we have many. Some of the sports that my school offers are: American football, football (Soccer), basketball, swimming, dance, and tennis. We only have to pay a small fee to play in them.
We are engaged to a lot of of sports. We even had this gymnastics and swimming. It's good for our health and we had practice some of the values during this activities.
Yah, there is a physical exercise in our class. It's so exciting and very interesting. I experienced to roll on the floor several times. My teacher commanded me to do push ups 15 times. It's so annoying. My classmates laughed at me. I ignored them and when thier turn i laughed at them also:D
Mine school wasnt modern as well.It was semi government high school and infrastructure was poor.We had mostly students from middle class to poor background. We too had mostly traditional Indian sports at school. _________________ London bridge is falling down.

When I was in elementary and high school, I studied in public school were we didn't pay any tuition fees because the school are for average and poor people in our area. During elementary, the sports that are introduced was basketball because it is very common. But the usual lesson in Physical exercises class was aerobics, and some other forms of exercises. When I was in high school, aerobics and dancing are introduced during PE class. I only experience extreme sports during college because my parents send me into private college. _________________ my first baby..

why not the physical education in the school. no games because they didnt have the money to give you the sporting facilities. so it was atleast good to make you active in the school hours. dont you think that being that active could make you fit person in the sporting events . you can now start any of game ..
we have taekwando, swimming. We also have table tennis. basketball, volleyball. We do have tennis, karate. Track and field. Gymnastic. That is only i can remember . Our college university is a private one. it has a budget though.
I played football, rugby, badminton, table tennis, swimming, golf, badminton and a few other things when I was at High School, and most of the things I did then I still do now some 35 years after leaving high school.
