Sounds like a great way to help the environment when you are going to dump away a cell phone. I have seen many people just toss away their old cell phone when they purchase a new one. I haven't seen any advertisements for it sold here.

yes it definately is a new revolutionary way to help reduce the pollution caused by mobiles.people tend to throw away there old phones when they buy a new one. yes, this phone isn't so popular but u can get this easily by ordering it thorough internet.

I'm not picky when it comes to phones, so my standards are not that high. As long as it connects me properly when I'm calling someone and as long as it can send my text messages quickly, I would be satisfied.

yes you are right about the 18 months theory because we are moving those mobile phone everywhere with us and 18 months is a big time period to keep those mobile phones with us when newer sets are available until that time.

biodegradable phone!?!! thats brilliant! thats gonna do a lot good to the environment but it would be better if it is durable. because i keep dropping my phone down frequently. ive got butterfingers .lol

Th bio-dergadable cell phone hey, can't say id heard of this until now but it does sound like an interesting concept. but what if the phone is not disgarded after 18months but simply past along to another person to use the phone and not just dumped into land fill.

The reason that the average life span of a phone is 18 months I think is that is the length of a normal phone contract at least here in the UK the average is 18 months. You can still get 12 and even 24 month contracts but the norm is 18, and most companies will let you upgrade after 15 months.

I like the idea of a greener phone but what would happen if you simply kept passing the phone onto another user would the phone simply start growing or would the seeds die after so long. Its an interesting concept but maybe not one fully thought out.

I can't say that I had heard about this phone before now. I do think its a great idea but I also think Paul delved into the concept a little bit and posed some interesting questions. I haven't heard about this phone being available here in Canada but I think I will go and search it out to see if they have thought about all the little kinks that Paul mentioned.

I haven't heard about that phone. That's very interesting. I think I should search for it later on. Do you know the brand name of this gadget? I'd probably going to buy one if it has all the nokia s40 cellphone features.

This would be the first time I've heard about this. Seeing this topic was made two months ago I hope there is an update on how this phone is being develop or is it actually out on the market as we speak. The concept is really good and I hope those cellular phone developers support and promote this concept and integrate it in their future phones. I will be searching this on google now and see what I can add to this information

Biodegradable phone, this is exciting. How could they come up with this kind of technology. I want to see a bamboo phone. Me and my friends are always joking about our cellphones, when it has no signal. We wish we have a bamboo phone instead, and now it is here.

Yes i have already come to know abou this phone from the numerous amounts of ads that are filling out in the internet.I think that something like this is pretty nice.But i would have preferrd if htese phones had a lower price such that more number of people could use it.Thus saving the invironment in real,Not just a bunch of people who can just show off their care for nature by burning lots o money
