This is my old car, gone bye bye tatatata because of the awful price of petrol. I really miss it. I was sick as a Parrot last night, I saw it again and wished it was still mine. I coveted the new owners car, I sinned!! But who can blame me
Its a Jaguar 1992 XJ6 Series 3.6 Auto. That thing when it was new cost about 25k GBP. Top of the range executive car. Heated seats, on board computer, electric everything, even had lights in the back of the headrests ans in all the doors. At its fastest it did about 135mph. It used a lot of gas though, 18mpg. That was my 3rd one. I wont ever get another one though because Yvonne likes the little sissy car I have to drive now. Its only got a 998cc engine, and it does lots of miles to the gallon.
wow, that is a fast car. i remember them jags here in the states. and they're just as popular as the mustangs are. the famous people over here have them. they are great cars. wouldn't mind having one myself. LOL In a million hehe years. LOL The color black is my favorite on that car.
I guess if I did own it, and had a lot of money to soup it up, i'd fix it with booming sound system, and hydrolics on the floor of the car. :p _________________ )O(Blessed Be,)O(
Well, I never did have a black one, but I do wish I had had. I had 3, a British Racing Green 2.9 Manual, a Blue 3.2 Auto Sport Model, and the one in the picture which was Olive Green. You wouldnt really change a car like that and add anything would you? Honest bud, if you had one you would love it just as it was. Trust me, for a car that size it could go from a standing start to 70mph in no time at all. I used to play with the computer on every trip. All that series had the exact same computer, and the same Jaguar Stereo and speakers, with builkt in fader was standard, and it had tweeters to. I wouldnt mess about with it.
Jimbo I feel your pain that is nice motor there mate and I can imagine the heartache at it having to go, we work our butts off to get something like that so that we can enjoy it and then were punished for having it theres just no justice in the world. And having to see it again after letting it go thats nice of them. I spoke to they I got my l200 off on an event recently and he said he is sorry he got it as his shogun is not as good at towing his race car lol his loss my gain
Shoguns are over rated. There just isnt a car on the road like the old Jags.
I want to get another one, but Yvonne said no!!! I want to get my first one back, the 2.9 Manual, it averaged over 30 mpg over 66 thousand miles I did in it.

Nice looking car but Jags arent my thing far too long a nose on them and they are very low down to drive. _________________ --------------I am who I am and your approval isn't needed

Thats what Yvonne said about all 3 of the ones I had, and she wouldnt drive one in town and had a bit of difficulty parking them if she had to back up into a space. The low position of driving though can be altered, as the seats have a multi angle and height function, and the whole sterring gig can be adjusted. She did however like blasting down the motor way in it. She used to get all excited when we reached 100mph. Jaguars are the best of British Engineering, or they were until they made them like the dreadful Ford Mondeo.
they realy dont make them like that anymore do they mate there is something about the old jags that you just dont get in new cars. I do think there are some nice new jags coming out but as you say under that nice shiny skin there is a ford mondeo lurking away, I guess thats what we get for mass producing thiings some penny pincher designs something else around the bits left over.

I never went near a multi storey car park. I think that would have been quite a daft thing to do. Actually, I used to park as far away from the doors of places as I could as there was usually more space. Paul, sorry mate but those new Jags are awful. I had one in to do the brakes on, and I thought I would take it for a spin, and I really thought the Mondeo 24 valve is a better car. Now I here Jag is going to be built in India. Rule Britania, not any more!!!
one thing iv never had the pleasure to drive is a Jag and I would imagine the new ones to be a bit sub standard compared to the good old ones, as for building them in india well no disrespect but I think its going to be a nail in the coffin for the brand in general.
I used to deliver the halewood factory they did landrover and jag there so if there both going the future for the site does not look good.
The brand was knackered in 2000. They never built a really good saloon after that, although the XK series is still great. I want an XK8 or an XK-R.
I priced at 97 xk8 the other day, watch this space!!!
