realistically how long do you think it will be before you are out of debt, i estimate mine to be around 4 years for me to clear the £20,000 debt i have which is doing it slowly i know but it means i still have enough to live comfortably every month too

Thats 5 grand a year you will have to pay barbie, about 100 pounds per week and thats quite a lot of money really. I hope that you do manage to clear the debt. I had a lot of debt once and I sold a house to pay for it. Wish I hadnt and wish I had taken a bit loner. But I just wanted rid of it.

I do feel we are the same. i will be debt free after 4 years too. Since the cards I have will be expire after three years. I envy those who are debt free, their money are for them solely while us, are doing our best topay our bills. I hate paying bills, because there are many bills I pay everyday . I hate it.

You know what I was thinking about, how many people die still in debt!! I know that that is a bit of a sad and morbid thought, but I thought it so I thought I should post my thought here, lol.

At least for a year from now i will be free from Debt... coping up to clear all my debts although its to tough, but it somehow will give you a relief feelings..

You know that is so true, Jimbo. When my mother passed away I was amazed at the amount of debt she had incurred over the last few months of her life. She wasn't able to get out of the house (COPD) but infomercials and catalogs helped pass the time of day for her I guess because she had so many new debts as well as the old ones of course.I never begrudged her these things but i just found it interesting that she chose to do that so close to the end. I may not have much in the way of possessions or money but I am totally debt free. But trust me it wasn't always that way.

I don’t have any personal debt right now. But we had taken loan for this flat and its going to take few years to pay .I think more 5 years to pay.My parents had taken education loan for me and I had difficult time paying it.You all know I started business instead of job and I have to struggle on both fronts for first one or two years.I think it was one of most difficult period of life I have gone through.
