Until I arrived at this post I had never seen or even heard of this film.
I think because Jim Carrey is in it would put me off of watching it straight away.
Ok, there is some input on here which says he played a serious character but even that wouldnt persuade me to watch it.
I really am a bit like my partner on this and I simply cant stand Carrey.
So this one gets a big thumbs down from me without me even watching it.
Please dont try and persuade me that it is good and that I might enjoy it because I still wont watch it.

Well I'm in the same boat as you Yvonne. Until reading this post I had never heard of the film, either. But it is quite possible that I may have seen a preview but if Jim Carrey was in it, I would have totally ignored it and forgotten it. I find him very, very annoying and not funny at all and I don't think he would be any better in a serious role. So, I bet you can guess that I will promptly forget the title of this movie by the time I finish this post.

I like Jim Carrey doing comedy movies, but I havent seen any serious movie from him. I am curious to watch this number 23, it seems that this movie is very interesting.

i have not seen this film but i realy couldnt imagine jim carey as a serious caracter, i think i have only ever seen him play silly roles in films before, he is a great actor thought but i think i would be waiting for the funny parts to begin

Looks like there arent much fans of Jim Carrey here, well i have to say in all honesty that i am a fan of his work i might be 1 of the only ones that actually enjoy his work as it seems that Jimbo here hates him. I have enjoyed very much the films he has been in. Now going back to the topic which is the film The Number 23, it is true it is not the best work of Jim Carrey but i have to say it isnt a disaster either, its Ok but they could have chosen a better actor to fill that spot besides that he is in fact the leading protagonist, but like i said it could have been much better but it isnt awful. And lastly i found the ending of The Number 23 to be kinda silly

I just saw some scenes of it. I think that it is a dark movie. I came to knew about it when I was reading something about the tv series LOST in which one of the characters (Hugho Reyes 'Hurley') is cursed by some numbers. I think in this movie it is just like that. isn't it? I think he sees 23 wherever he goes. I think I should watch this movie.
