both of my boys have to go to the doctor this afternoon to have a sports physical before school starts back here soon in Middle Tennessee. when that i was growing up in school, i do not ever remember having a sports physical before that i went back to school for the year after my summer break. so i won't be around this afternoon due to the fact that i have to go downtown today to take the kids to the doctor. so tell me, when that you were attending school, or if you still are in school, do or did you have to have a sports physical before going back to school each year?

No, this isnt something we were subjected to before school resumed. I think we did have a medical once or twice during our school days, but it wasnt a big deal. Do they do this for all school kids in America, it must be a big job for the education and medical authorities.

hello jimbo, to my knowledge, every school child that is enrolled in a Metro school, where that we live, has to have the physical and have proof of it on file in the school office.

hello jimbo, ain't that the truth about nothing surprises you anymore? well me either, i have had an exhausting afternoon at Vanderbilt Medical Center. wear me out man. the lady doc came in to see the boys right, then she examined the eight year old first then she looked at me and said since that your other son is eleven, you'll have to step out of the room and i'll let you know when that you can return. i felt like i had just lost my son when that she said that. then, after both physicals were complete, she thought that she wasn't going to give me any paperwork to turn into the school to the office. wrong answer there doc lady. so a trip to the doctor's office today was five hours worth of it. my eleven year old got three shots today and the eight year old just got one. then the doc said, are they taking part in any sports? well duh, holy cow!, school hasn't even started back yet, and she wants to know what sport, if any that the boys will be particapting in? wear me F****** out man!

Why did you have to step out of the room when they gave your eleven year old the examination. I would have told them to get stuffed and told them I was staying. Its all a load of crap Rhonda what we have to put up with, isnt it.

hello jimbo, yes, it certainly is. but yeah, the next time i take the boys back to the doctor, which will be in six months from now for another round of shots for the both of them, then yeah, when the doctor says, step out of the room, i am going to put my foot down and stay in the room. sue me. lol you know? what is the doctor going to say then?

I dont know about you, but I think they ask us to step out of the room because they are asking the kids all sorts of stuff they dont want us parents to know they are asking. They have way too much power and its up to us to put them in their places.
