A lack of sex drive and erectile dysfunction may be a result of low testosterone levels in men over 30, according to new research.
The research found that one out of four men over 30 have low testosterone levels, and one out of every 20 men have clinical symptoms linked to a deficiency, according to a study by the New England Research Institute.
Researchers analyzed almost 1,500 men enrolled in the Boston Area Community Health Survey, aged 30 to 79 years and compiled data on the volunteers’ testosterone, symptoms of hormone deficiency, and medications that may impact sex hormone levels.
Low testoterone can indicate an androgen deficiency if it is accompanied by low sex drive, erectile dysfunction, osteoporosis or fracture, and two or more of the following: sleep disturbance, depressed mood, lethargy or diminished physical performance.
That's natural. But we can fight that. Being physically fit will surely help. We should stay healthy all the time. Exercising is a good thing to maintain one's vigor and strength. Also, taking some medicines will really help.
lol He is a nymph so I guess I don't have to worry about this. At the same time there are studies that say men don't truly reach their sexual peak until the age of 30.
Although like with erectile dysfunction it's not all men. Either or can happen at anytime. If they aren't complaining it isn't "hard" enough they are complaining it isn't big enough. You can NEVER win And they say women are never happy .

One in 4 men over 30,
Well,I think that it would largely depend on the ages of the people who were tested etc
I dont think that one in 4 men of exactly 30 would have any problems
Maybe one in 400
As for me,I am 47 and have no problems in this area at all
And I hope that it is an awful long time until I do
I hope I can still rise to the occassion when I am 75
Marc is 28 and thus far his sex drive almost keeps up with mine (I'm coming up on my sexual peak so everyone pray for the man because I might end up killing him during said peak)
Anyway, with today's world and the amount of stress most people are under it is no wonder people's sex drives are going down (not just men either).

I must be strange, because even when we went through our darkest hours, and in the aftermath, neither of our sex drives seemed to diminish at all. Maybe it was a show of closeness to each other. But I can understand what stress can do. I have kept up(excuse that to) with my wife and she is a lady with a very lusty out look, so I reckon that your bf will cope ok. Mind you, you and your bf live apart and dont see each other as often, so you might just kill him, lol, hahaha
Its a pity that this wasnt in the Up Close section, I would have written a four or five line ditty for said tombstone. Anyway, I still wonder if the figure mentioned in this post would have increased very significantly had the age group minimum been raised to 40.
I don't think raising the age group to 40 would have really changed the results all that much.
Also, they didn't really show the physical ailments of the people used in the study.
Were they all healthy? because I know there are certain medical conditions that not only lower sex drive but also sexual preformance.
Also what were the sex drives of the men before they found a "reduced" sexual drive?
Because I know that most people tend to look back on things and think that their sex drive was alot higher because they were getting sex more often, but i don't think that actually means their drive was higher but more that the opportunities were more abundant when they were younger.
It are those types of "Studies" that I find the most frustrating because they just state things as if they should be taken as fact but do not really go into the deeper needed explainations of how the studies were conducted and if it truly means what they're trying to make it out to mean
There just wasnt enough detail all a bit vague. But all I really think is this, my sex drive is high, it always has been, and I would take bad if it wasnt.
Actually, looking at the very first line of the post again, I wouldnt have thought that coming(excuse me again for that) to that conclusion needed much research!!!
