I have been wanting one sooooo bad and last year we looked after Christmas and every place was sold out, so this year I told hubby we were going to look NOW and we bought one today hehe.
I LOVE IT !!!!! It is Oak to match all my Oak in my house. It is just beautiful, the kids love it too hehe. Just had to share, I am soooo excited.
We got it at Home Depot.

Congrats on getting one. We had one in a cabin we stayed at and it was sooo nice. I thought it was one of the coolest things I had seen in awhile.

We have looked at them before. I have seen some that are beautiful. I would love to have one. I have always wanted a fireplace but my husband said I would not be happy with one because I could not move it. I am always moving my furniture around. If I had one of those I may not move it to often but I could move it once in awhile. I am so happy for your. Maybe I will talk my husband into going and looking at them. What man would turn down a trip to Home Depot? Laughing

You will really enjoy your fireplace. We have an electric fireplace also. We had it built right in when we built our house. We bought one for our last home and it was wonderful!

StayHomeMom.........You CAN move it hehe. That is why I got one that can go either in the corner or along the wall. I LOVE to rearrange all the time too. It comes with a corner piece and it can go either way. Right now mine is along the wall and looks like it was meant to go there.
We live in a Modular Home and we could have gotten one with our home, but I didn't like any of the floor plans that had them LOL.

kittenboy.........Yep mine will stay out year round. I like how you can set the flames and no heat, so it looks pretty, but isn't hot hehe.

I'd like to get one sometime. My sister bought one a couple of years ago and really likes it....it's very pretty and really sets off the dining room decor.

We are LOVING our's, we have used the heat on it a few nights hehe. Mostly we just turn the "fire" on if we don't need the heat. I know this winter, we will use the heat a lot.

Those are great! We have a fireplace-- A real wood one- I love that too- but the electric ones are nice also- My friend just recently bought one- It works great- But she mostly just uses it for deocration- no heat-- just the fire look.
Enjoy it- I bet you and your family will have numerous "wonderful memories" and good times around it.
