Right now the three parties are fighting tooth and nail to get all the votes they can. Oh how thankful I am that I don't live in the UK any more and so don't have to watch any of those dreadful political party broadcasts, absolutely pitiful. They promise you heaven and earth and then when they are elected do exactly the opposite. And the papers are all full of it.
My MIL is over right now and is so glad to be out of it. I don't have a vote over here, nor does my other half and my MIL didn't organise a postal vote - didn't have enough time. As my mother is almost totally housebound I doubt anyone is going to pick her up and take her to the polling station.
How do you feel about voting? Do you think there is going to be a hung Parliament? Do you care? What are your thoughts?
If you read this post after the elections - did you your party win? How about the local elections - did the person you want get in? _________________ Early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese! |

I think all the parties are as bad as each other as you say they all pick up one thing they think will have people rushing out to vote just for them, then they come on TV radio and put crap through your door spouting off about something. Some of the stuff on the TV is like being back in the school playground the scraps they have at trying to take a cheap shot and come up looking like there smelling of roses.
I think there all a waste of space to be honest they just vary on how much of a wast, I think it was Jimbo that said it, there should be a box on the poll card that says something like " I am not giving up my right to vote I just do not want to vote for any of the above "
At least it will all be over soon and we can see just how well they make a complete and utter mess of the next thing they sink there teeth into. |

Yeah, I hear you. I agree with Jimbo's idea at least that way you are not forced to vote for someone you don't want to vote for.
I am looking at the news right now and the polling stations have all shut and they are thinking that it will be a hung parliament, that won't be good for the UK, I'm sure, nothing will get done and it will just end up in squabbling all the time, trying to get one over the other parties. It will be a nightmare next 4 years. At least when a party wins outright they can organise the government on to one set of tracks and get on with governing instead of thinking what mud they can throw at each other. Poor you and everyone else living in the UK.... let's see what happens. _________________ Early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese! |
