When I first moved out on my own I wasn`t scared. But after I had my boys and I got divorced I was scared to be alone in the house. Eventually I got used to it. Now I like the peace and quiet. But I do lock my doors and I have always encouraged my shephard to bark when he hears anything. He stays right by be all day and night. I think he likes me best. hehehehhe

yes! i'm a couch potato so staying in the house is not really an issue for me. i'd rather spend my day watching tv shows or movies than going out with my friends. i'm not really a social butterfly so rarely do i get to see my girls. if i'm at home, i get to have more time for myself. i sometimes write literary pieces such as poems, novels and songs for fun, i try to learn a new recipe (since i'm not very good in cooking), i spend time surfing the net, watch the makeover shows and try to get tips from them or any new movies.

I remember left alone in the house if my husband get to work,that time we were newly married,so no kids yet nor househelp.I have a horrible feelings and imagining a lot of things,I can't even sleep because of anxiety. But later on when I used to,I never become fearful again.Actually,I would love to be alone because I can do household chores.

I live with my parents.When they leave out house for few days i actually enjoy being alone.It only start making me uncomfortable when i see horror films.After seeing horror film my imagination start running wild.I imagine ghost in every corner and in every mirror. I have been through this few years ago and since then i never watch horror films whenever i am alone at home.
Apart from this i dont have any other problem.I am not sort of person who require someone 24 hours to do blah blah.

Are Filipinos scared of staying at their house alone? I think it depends on the house. I'm alone at our house right now and I'm not scared or anything. I think the reason why people are scared of staying alone inside their houses is because they are being too paranoid of being alone or they are not used to being alone. Filipinos are known to live together (I mean, families live together.. even the extended family, they live together in one house). So maybe, the reason why people don't usually want to be alone in a house is because they are not used to it.

I used to be scared being home alone. My brothers used to scare me about the ghosts staying inside our house that's why I never stay at home all by myself. And now that I grew up, the ghosts are still haunting me on my mind lol and sometimes the thought of ghosts make me really scared to death. Hahah. but there are times that I am not in a mood to be scared so I am fine with staying at home alone

When I was a kid i am really scared to be left alone in the house. But when I grew up and got a job from the city i had no choice but to live all by myself. And Im getting use to it because I realize that living alone makes me more mature and independent.

No! A Big NO! I really can't stay at home alone! I am really a scared baby ever since. So even now I am 20 I can't still stay at home alone. Anyway my dad won't let me stay at home alone overnight. ehehe

Yes, If i have lot of foods, I am with my computer, cellphone, television and lots of cd to watch. I can stay in my house "alone:)"

i dont mind being alone in the house, but havin said that the fact we have a dog means i am never technically alone, when there is only me in the house i get to get the house work done a lot quicker than when the hubby or children are here under my feet

I am not afraid to be alone inside our house, but no watching scary movies so that I will not imagined anything. I was left at home i remember December 25, when my parents and brother decided to visit or far relatives. I was alone the whole day but they came home in the evening. I make myself busy. I cleaned the house, prepared food for the pets. Me and the pets watched television during the day, I watched my favorite movie. I went to sleep, I listen to radio. I look at our pictures before. I write something, I texted my friends. and Sleep again. When they arrived we ate together. It never happened that I was alone in the house and it lasted a day or even for one day. I don't want to be alone in the house, but there are times it is needed so being an understanding daughter that is fine with me as long as there are things that will keep me busy.

I am only twenty-two years old, and I have never lived alone before. I have always had at least one person in the house with me at night, or a pet. I think I could handle, somewhat, living alone, as long as I had a pet. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.
And the reasoning for that is because of stupid scary movies. The kids who babysat me when I was REALLY young, I am talking like 3-4 years old, barely understanding anything, would force me to watch scary movies and would think it was funny.
So even now, when I hear noises, I get very paranoid. If I watch a scary movie, I cannot watch it before bedtime otherwise I start to freak out and my husband pretty much has to walk baby steps around me. One time, I hate to admit it, I was so freaked out I cried. Yes. Embarressing. And it is all because I was forced to watch many scary movies as a toddler. Ugh.

Yeah I can, I been living all by myself in my apartment for about a year now. I am not scared of ghosts or somebody breaking in. I know how to defend myself. I like living alone nobody tells me what I can or can't do. I run my own kingdom. Also I don't live in a bad area, I consider my neighborhood pretty safe. The crime rate where I live is very low, but you'll never now. I'd be prepared.

Tell you what, I dont think that many of you would like to be in our house alone.
I think its haunted and its a bit spooky but we have got used to it over the years but I still dont like being in the house alone and Jim said when I was in hospital he didnt really like being alone in this house either.
Prior to moving here I never had a problem if I was in a house alone.
