First of all I must aplozied I dont keep up with americal idol like I want to. I just dont have a lot of time for tv. So forgive my ingorance on this. I know that this season is ended and a winner has been picked and I also have heard that simmon was leaving. I am wondering is this true or a rumor does anyone know for sure and I was also wondering how soon after the season ends does another start. It seems like I always tune into it after a couple of weeks have already started I hate that.

No simons not leaving, the show would be dead without him, i think he said he wanted to do one more season and maybe that could be it, as for the start date the auditions are starting shortly and it should be on tv for october i think, cant wait.

Yeah I know it just wouldnt be american idol without simon. Even after this next season I hope he stays on I think it's hiralous when him and Paula start goofing off.

Agreed, theres a lot of chemistry between them two as well i know simon always plays the annoyed card when paula talks but really hes mad about her i think, the two of them are very fond of each other Very Happy

Simon is not leaving. It was just a rumor. That new lady (can't remember her name) is leaving though.

Thats great to hear that Simon isnt leaving and that it was just a simple(get it) rumour. The lady who is leaving, the new lady, why cant you remember her name, lol, is it because she hasnt been there long enough for it to be stored in your memory,
Happens to me all the time. Honestly, I can watch something on the telly for years and never remember the names of the characters.

shes pretty cool actually i liked her a lot I hope she doesnt leave though I thought she blended in well and stood up to simon which is always entertaining, i dont buy that supposed bitchiness between her and paula though they seemed like buds to me.

Well, this topic was made quite a long time ago, but I guess I will update it! A new season just started in 2010, and it is definitely by far the best yet! Simon has not left yet, but Paula is gone, and has been replaced by Ellen Degeneres (I am not sure how to spell her last name). This season has been great so far, a lot of different interesting talent, and definitely a "must see" season by far! Simon is still his too serious self, but adding Ellen to the mix definitely spruced things up! You gotta watch the new season!
