OK guys, time for a new contest, Im still keen to come up with something along the big brother lines i have a few more ideas and its developing, but not there yet.

I have been reading through the contest ideas thread and someone suggested a "longest online"

I know we have the problem of time zones but Ive given it some thought and here is the idea, we set a start date, everyone entering must post in that start date, you then must post in the thread at least every 15 minutes, the longest online wins
everyone will have different start times etc, but it can be calculated fromm your first post, checked to make sure you posted every 15 mins, then we would have a winner.

so, feedback on the idea please, any possible problems?
any ideas how to make it better?

I will need to have a smoke later on and think about that. But it sounds like one I can win just by following my usual pattern, lol. I havent slept for 2 days now and aint tired yet. Bugger though would be stopping what I/we were doing in the boudoir to post on here though. I say we as I bet Yvonne will want to beat me!!!

Sounds good to me. At first I thought it was going to be a bit like another thing that used to happen on another forum a while ago when I bothered with other forums ...
They used to occasionally up the posting rate for an unspecified amount of time - you never knew when it was going to happen. I did well out of it - the main problem with that, from their pov, was that it's so easy to keep multiple tabs open and go into a posting frenzy.
Your idea sounds way more workable.

So is it sort of like Survivor, where they stand on a stump in the water and see if they can outlast each other? At first, I thought it wouldn't work, but now, I'm thinking it could be fun although I don't think I can last too long.

So may be I should stop sleeping and even when I have to do other works like eating , bathing etc, I must finish them in 15 mins, thats really a challenge. Lets see how it shapes up. Bring it on.

Once at least every 15 minutes. So with a start date - we should have an end date too - or is it only running for 24 hours? And in that 24 hours - determine who was online the longest? It's based on time and not the number of posts - yes?

I'll try my best to participate. Though I doubt that I'll win. I'm only here during my lunch break and at night after work - if I'm not busy doing something else.

Sounds interesting but I don`t think I could remember to post every 15 minutes. I would have to stay up all night long which means I need caffiene and thats not a good thing. I would be so jittery I wouldn`t be able to type. Plus I haven`t been on here much lately. My guess would be another Jimbo win. Mmmmmmmmm does everyone have to stay up all night until the contest is over? Also what is the prize for denying ourselves of sleep lololol.

Great idea Chris, unfortunately for me I know I can't win this one as I don't get a straight 24 hrs online connection and I just can't be at my computer for that length of time. But it will be good to see how the other members fare. I can see Jimbo doing well at this and if Yvonne is anything like as competitive as he says.... methinks the Scottish team may well win this one, tee hee.
