This has just started happening and I would like to know what is causing it and/or how to fix it. From time to time when I am using the internet a window pops up and says - Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience. I will lose what I am working on bah, bah, bah. One question, I also, have is do I send an error report or not? So, I guess I need to know what is causing this to happen (it is very frustrating), how do I fix this problem and do I send a error report or not...............or does the report really metter?
Ok, the best way to fix this problem is quite simply like this
Download Firefox, the latest version and make it your default browser.
What is happening to you, happened to me and it got to the point where it happened at least a couple of times per day
So, I changed to Firefox, 3 years ago and have never had a problem since
Seriously much better than IE, much simpler
i am surprised that you are stuck with explorer! just download firefox from mozilla.com or opera from opera.com . you will be trouble free then. never report windows errors if you are using a pirated version of windows. _________________ Link removed by admin, please see new rules
The software is not the problem, my friend. I think you disable the add on in your computer. Just try this; click on the tools on the menu bar...then click add on...see if that is disable...go to control panel and click internet option...create your home page.
the process ofr that is very simple step by step
1.right click on my computer and go to properties
2. click on advanced tab and in that click on error reporting
3.in that check for diable error reporting but also check the box under this box like error reporting in serious condition
Often when this happens you could possibly have a virus, trojan, spyware or malware. Id suggest you scan for all of the above using your security software. Like others have suggested, once you fix the issue download mozilla firefox. It is a much cleaner, faster and safer browser. _________________ A bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work!
Install it, update it first THEN run a full system scan. Report back if it finds anything. Scan could take a few hours to complete depending on your hard drive size and how fast/slow your PC is.
Malware bytes only bdetects spyware and malware that hasn't become a permanent threat to the computer already. Once the spyware/malware hides itself in the system and creates a "spider" (a form of attaching itself to any and every file it can) it can't be found unless you have a very good antivirus. I explained this in the easiest terms that are understandable for most users. If you need additional help you can pm me and I can walk you through the proper techniques to remove any existing problems you may have. _________________ A bad day of fishing is still better than a good day at work!
Follow what Jmbo has written and if firefox started crashing at your side then download opera. Its doesnt crash like firefox. _________________ London bridge is falling down.
I love Firefox and use it all the time, however recommending a user switches to Firefox is not a solution to the problem as the problem still exists. All you're doing is just saying "don't use that, use this". If a car has a fault, would people here recommend the person purchases a new car? This is how I see it.

I believe Malwarebytes has the ability to detect spyware that hids itself too. If you don't have anti-virus already, install Avira Antivirus, it's very good.
