Is anyone a fan of her? Has anyone heard her music?
In case you don't know, Solange is the younger (and overlooked) sister of Beyonce Knowles (super-famous R&B solo singer, former Destiny's Child member), and has started launching her own musical career. A few of her "hit" songs have been "I Decided" and "Sandcastle Disco" (if you want to check them out on iTunes or YouTube).
I personally find her style to be VERY different than her older sisters - and I think she has a really unique (retro, almost) style.
What do you think?
Do you think she's original or do you think she's just like every other singer out there?
Do you think she'll blow up like her sister did?
Ah, there is a gap in my knowledge here. I did not know that boiuncy had a sister in the music industry to. That means I must now go and google said bouncy sister in the hope that not only is she better looking than bouncy, but is more of a musical talent to.
that's what I was wondering if she was kin to Beyonce Knowles. But, when I read your post, I than seen that she is kin to Beyonce. but, nope, I have never heard of Beyonce's sister sing, nor have I heard any of her songs. This is the first that I've heard of Beyonce's sister. I didn't even know that Beyonce had a sister that could sing. lol But, I'm not much into this type of music, I more listen to Goth music, and Heavy Metal. But, I do think Beyonce Knowles is very pretty though to be a color person.

Hey Ostara, one thing I have noticed in my 48 years to date is this, just about every coloured girl I have ever seen is pretty. To be honest, I dont think that Beyonce is really attractive, I am more of rIhanna person myself, and Mr Obama,s wife is quite hot to.

I'm following her on Twitter... she updates a lot!
I did enjoy her in Bring It On movie but music-wise, I don't really like her. I think it's the fact that I expected her style of be like Beyonce's and I know, it's pretty lame, but listening to Beyonce more sort of makes me expect Solange Knowles' taste to be similar to her sister's. _________________ "It's our choices that show who we really are, far more than our abilities."

I have a chum who uses twitter, and his bathroom exploits are famous, lol

OMG, she was in Bring It On? Which one? Crazy..
Her taste in music is actually a lot different than her older sister's, at least from what I've heard of it. She does LOOK a lot like her sister, though, although is skinnier and her features are a little bit different. I think they're both gorgeous - a lot of "colored" girls are (can we just say black? or African-American? I'm a little uncomfortable with that termonology..lol, it's true.).
The only thing I don't like about Solange is that she seems to have an attitude problem - I saw an interview with her where she LITERALLY snaps on her interviewer for comparing her to her sister. I feel bad for her in a way for having all of these expectations thrown at her because she's Beyonce's lil' sis, but at the same time - she DOES shadow her in a couple different ways - such as by doing an endorsement with her sister with CoverGirl. It's like..why would you do that, if you really want to be distinguished from your sister? Ugh. Hypocrites these days.
Oh..And I was going to post links to her vids on YouTube, but I can't post links yet. lol. I'll have to work on that.
But her music is worth checking out! A little more eccentric (in a good way) than Beyonce's.
Well I saw this post had reached the top of my page again and it occurred to me that I didnt really know what she looked like and I have to say she doesnt seem to ooze the same sexual chemistry that her sister does, and the best picture I could find of her isnt exactly hot, if you know what I mean, but here it is for your viewing pleasure anyway, I hope that you all really like it.

Solange has a different style like her sister. You can compare them with Jessica and Ashley Simpson - the white version. I actually think that Solange would make it big in the movies rather than singing. I watched her movie with Hayden Pannetierre. She dances really great, like a cheerleader. _________________ Thanks,

I didn't know that Solange can also sing, but she is a very good dancer. I saw her in some movie and I must say that she really is different from her sister. i thought that she is entering Hollywood I didn't know that she also have an album. I hope that she could also be famous as her sister because she is really talented just like Beyonce and i hope that someday they will have a collaboration. _________________ my first baby..

I don't that Solange is kind of CHOOSING to follow in her sister's path. She once made a remark during an interview about HATING being compared to her sister, but then you see her on Loreal commercials (or whatever the brand is!) right alongside her sister, singing a duet or whatever the pitch is (I forget). It's annoying that someone who COMPLAINS about this is actually cultivating it themselves. LOL. I can't seem to understand her personality. A little hypocritical, I guess.
I really haven't heard anything lately about Solange though. I wonder what's up, or if she's not coming out with any more music..?
