I think most replies is not agreat idea admin as then we will notice all 1 and two line replies as member will compete to get more replies so i think reffral contest is ok or you can have another intresting ideas like that,i have a idea for this site moderator why not open this site for advertiser to give us writing jobs on their blog and morachat charges them and member a percentafe fee of it,it will increase traffic and earning for member and free signup offer will be great also. _________________ SIX DOLLAR MAGIC IN IT!!!

Glad to hear that sir your are working on idea for members to get more bucks but i think sir that task thing or say offer completion can give MC a lot of money,how about if MC charges a fee of 4.9percent on total budget of advertiser such things are used by other website sir.

admin open your website for advetiser put such facility on home page than advertiser can request MC member to signup to particular website or they request us to write some review for them or write article for them or they request morachat member to advertise their link through personal blog.
Such things are concluded as task then if they agree to pay a member to give 0.20$ for free signup then you make limit that atleast 20 signups must be offered than their budget =4 USD then MC will charge 5 percent or 4 percent that's ur decision from advertiser so MC commision =0.2USD _________________ SIX DOLLAR MAGIC IN IT!!!

@chris: I do not think contest like "Big Brother" will work out. Give a good topic and ask the users to submit a good post on that topic. Pick out the best out of them.. But what topic is upto you and if you want us to give the topics then I am ready to help you. This contest is not unique but would be interesting.
A games contest will also be good one, create a game and put it on one thread. Ask the users to play that game and score maximum points. The top 3 will be winners..
thanks madhuoos but we are trying to come up with something everyone can get involved with.
The problem with the writing on a topic, first we only have about 10 writers here, some may not see it, others may not like the topic, the contest ends up being between 2 or three people
It is not so chris matter is newbies didnot visit these forums they only pay attention to their choices you can check diffrent forums many active members are there but no one pays attention these forums as they like to reply to topic of their intrest.I think admin we must change apperance of Morachat to attract more members many paid to post forum are present but we have one advantage that is quick view of balance,so if you and your team admin changes apperance than Morachat will hav emany active members _________________ SIX DOLLAR MAGIC IN IT!!!
Well if you want the contests to be about Morachat then you are limited to a Banner making contest, referrals, most posts.... last to reply etc.. make slogans.. It gets limited, many people wouldn't know how to make a banner either.
If you don't specifically want it to be about Morachat, then it is still hard to think, but it could go along the lines of Best jokes, or most embarrassing moments we've had, anything really.. then whoever runs the contest picks their favourite.[/list]
How about a
"Send money to Somesh" contest. Everyone sends me money to my paypal account. The highest bidder gets 10$ and his money back. The other member get nothing....lol
Anyways, if its a contest you want, I have an idea...
How about a most traffic contest. You give members a link like a referral link that lets people visit the forum and then the person who sends the most uniques wins. That's gonna be tough to impllement, because you'll need to make modifications in code...
That's all I can think of right now. I know its a litle far fetched, but we've tried pretty much everything else.

The admin makes a topic debatable. Members reply with title "In favor" or "Against" and make their points
If a member makes a new point, he writes as it is
if he supports another point, he writes: "Supporting somesh's point and then his post" or he could "Dispute somesh's point and post"
And the winner is one with best points, decided by a couple of judges
