I have started a few different crafts but never seem to finish too many of them. I love to do wood burning on natural pieces and slices of wood. I am not very artisic so I usually use patterns. I also have made stepping stones for gardens with cement, broken glass, china, broken pottery, beads and anything else I may have around the house. That is fun and easy to do. I did make a windchime of glass beads and bobbles wrapped in copper wire. I am also learning to make dream catchers from my niece. We are part Native American and we are going to Pow-Wows and learning the culture. It would be nice to bring some things there and trade. I have never tryed to sell any of my crafts, I never think they are good enough for that. My friends and family say I should, but can you believe the ones who love you? I also lack that self confidence when it comes to my craftyness or the lack of.

I don't do wood crafts now but I use to make wood Christmas ornaments for the tree. I would cut them out ,paint them and add a ribbon on top to hang them with. Actually they were really cute.Maybe I need to start again the way crafts sells these days.

This is the time of year to get the crafts into motion. I need to set a few hours a week aside to do some of my crafts for the holiday bazaars and gift giving. I have made some good money setting up a table at a church or firehouse bazaar or even at a flee market. It can be fun.

Hi Uncle Mike I am one of a wood craft arts fanatic. I'm really amaze how those piece of wood turn out to become a beautiful crafts. Before when I was in my high school class I did one wood craft project it's a cute jewelry box decorated with wooden flowers with wooden tiny doll inside. I really feel proud that I was able to do such master piece from little pieces of wood. Now I still want to do some wood crafts but I just don't have the tools to cut them into pieces with curves and shapes. Hopefully someday if I find someone who can help me to do another wood craft arts I will definitely love to do some of them.

I love to work with wood too and would love to have the money to start a wood shop in our garage, We have a couple of things to get started and I even bought some carving tools I am learning to use. That hurts my wrists a little but I do enjoy trying to carve designs in the wood. I made ourselves a frame, not good enough to give to anyone, but maybe with time I will get better.

I know that there is some good money in the craft business and that it can also be fun. I myself haven't found my niche or calling yet, but I hope to have my own side business for making crafts and selling them one day. It'd be a nice little treat to have some money on the side and free time a plenty. Good Luck with your goals in crafting things. I think you could even simply paint houses and statues you can find at craft stores and make a good deal of money.

There is a place near me called Cottage Crafters. You can bring in your crafts there and set them up in an area for sale. The store gets 20-30% of the sale and you gt the rest. It is a pretty good idea and they seem to be doing pretty well, they are in a small "strip mall" at a good location.
I put a few things in there just recently, lets see if I can sell anything there.

This is always a great way to add to our income. I personally use the money that I make every year from my crafts to buy my kids Christmas presents with. This really helps all of us in the end. That way I can keep my regular income for paying bills and for buying food.

My sister is coming over in a bit an we are going to get busy on some Native American crafts. She makes nice jewelry and I am going to make some trinket boxes out of birch bark. There is a Native American Festival this weekend and we are hoping to sell or trade our wares there.
