I prefer the washing machine but I do have a few delicates that need hand washing. I would love to throw them in the washer but if I did there would be nothing left of them. That or they would shrink up and fit a doll instead.

I have one at my home. It was an old model so its working condition is worse. Most of the dirt in my dress wont be cleaned fully by the washing machine. So nowadays i prefer hand washing. Its better than that machine. I can easily remove the dirt by using some detergent powders. In my view hand washing is the best. _________________ Each second is valuable in our life, so make it for a proper use. Remember it will not come back forever....
well i dont really wash clothes. my mother puts them in the washing machine for me. some time back i used to wash when my mom was not well. that time i used to hand wash all my clothes. this is because i feel the clothes get really clean when we wash with hand and also its a good exercise for me lol. moreover it is also taking less time when we wash with hand and uses less water also. some clothes cannot be washed in washing machine also. _________________ Link removed by admin, please see new rules

I use the machine to wash the majority of my clothes. I use the delicate cycle on many items that need to be hand washed and they come out just find. Every now and then I do have to hand wash my really delicate items.

As a kid I ended up having to do my own washing as well as the sheets and towels for quite a few years and so there is no way I would ever, ever wash anything else by hand. Unless it were a pair of knickers (underwear). I know you are supposed to wash the delicate things by hand but sorry that just isn't going to happen in this household.
My other half said to me that some of his more delicate shirts he used to wash by hand. I told him that if he didn't like the way I wash his stuff he could continue doing those 'delicate' ones himself, by hand because that isn't going to happen with me. I have terrible ezcema too and I can't be scrubbing clothes or rubbing them against my hands even with gloves on. I just come up in a rash and it is so painful. So everything gets machine washed in this house. And right now the spinner isn't working so we are having to wring them out by hand. Brings back some childhood memories, that's for sure ;( _________________ Early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese!

i use the washing machine for everything and couldnt live without it, i have a realy good washer that has special programs for things like net curtains and silk items it even has a cycle for washing shoes so i dont have to wash anything by hand thankfully
yes there are certain type of clothes like underclothes that necessary to use hand wash so I do that in order to retain the quality of the clothes. Aside from it all of our clothes, I used washing machine to wash it. I separate colored clothes too, sometimes those that will produce stain I wash it with my hands to avoid problem of staining some of the clothes.
Oh god its got to be machine washing for me.
I have never ruined any delicate fabrics at all by washing them in a machine and all the new washing machines have programs built in especially for fabrics delicate in nature.
I did my share of hand washing when I was younger and bringing up kids and I have only 2 words to say on this
NEVER AGAIN
At home washing machine is to be used in big clothes like jeans, shirts, skirts , towels, pillow cover, blanket and other big clothes. while I do handwash handkerchief, face towels and undergarments. When our washing machine is broken, my mother have no choice but to wash and dry those clothes big or small using her hand.
When i used to help my wife with this kind of stuff.. i find it easy to hand wash.. sometimes washing machine are not accurate i mean not clean. some dirts are still with it.. Better to hand wash i guess _________________ "The duty of a member of this chamber is not to pander to what is popular

Oh I dont know about handwashing being better. If you have a washing machine and you use the correct program and also use a good quality detergent the laundry should be just as clean, if not cleaner than washing by hand. Also, with the busy lives we all lead in this day and age a washing machine is an essential part of most peoples lives.
lol I rather use the washer machine for sure but when it comes to my panties and bras lol I don't want to use the washer machine or they will get ruin and so I hand wash my panties well at least not all of them except for the sexy ones and they cost me a fortune.
I spend a fortune on sexy lingerie and panties and bras and I have to say Cassie that our washing machine has very seldom damaged any of them.
I dont like washing stuff by hand - I had to do it for years, and with young kids as my ex husband would rather drink the house keeping money rather than buy decent electrical appliances for the house.
I think he drank so much to blot out the image of his under developed Penis! _________________ I dont bite, at least not on purpose!!
