When you are joining so many sites right,left and centre, how do you manage with so many different passwords? Passwords are case sensitive and so one has to be very careful. Even if you write down in a diary, it can be dangerous for obvious reasons. How long you are going to remember? How many times you have to ask for help? How do you all manage with this problem? _________________ Link removed by admin, please see new rules
to be perfectly honest.. i do not remember all the passwords.. not even the usernames.. so i know i am already a member of this particular site.. i would just go and register again because that would be much easier than try to extract the possible usernames i have used before... _________________ When I had nothing to lose, I had everything.
I dont have to much of a problem remebering passwords and the such as I tend to only have a few and when you register for most thing they will email you a copy of your details, these emails have been saved and printed off and kept in a safe place so if I do forget I dont have far to go and look.
I tend to use the same details for some sites that are not what you would call security critical such as here and some other forums I use. If someone was to get hold of my details for the forums there is only so much they can do before I get it sorted so im not too worried about these passwords.
For places that are security consiouse I make sure none of the pass words are repeated and I have these stored in such a way that if you were to look at them they would mean nothing to you and just look like normal everyday bits of info.
This seems to work well and iv never had a problem with people getting hold of passwords and there very very secure lol
i write all of my usernames and passwords n one excel file. but right now, i am thinking if i would just settle on having just one username and password for all of my sites
I use about 4 passwords but in all 4, there is a common set of numbers which I'm positive I won't every forget. Initially, I was just using the same 6-digit password. However, there are some sites which require a combination of alphanumeric passwords or passwords which are more than 6 digits long so I had to come up with the other 3. As for usernames, well, I use just 2 so it's not much of a burden to memorize. _________________ Link removed by admin, please see new rules
Most of my passwords and user names are the same except for bill paying. But I write it all down in a notebook or I will forget them, and some have security questions and I write them down too. Also I change my passwords from time to time on different sites that have my bank info on it. And when I do pay bills online I always delete my cookies and history then close the browser before I go on. _________________ I love mora
I write my userids and passwords in a notebook.
At work, I use a version of a random number generator. My password consists of the stock prices of two stocks along with a symbol. That gives me a rationale to look at stock prices at work, which they frown upon. Having said that, I still use a notebook to record them. Also, it seems like after a holiday, I tend to forget my passwords. _________________ Well, once we had an easy ride and always felt the same

i have a very simple technique to remember the passwords of different sites. i have a very simple number of 4 digits. After typing first 2 numbers i shall put the initial two letters of the site and that will be my passwords. This way it is easier to remember and unique in a way that nobody would be able to guess it.

I am clever enough not to reveal the whole formula, i assure you i have kept in reserve something else i adding to my password.
ive tried many passwords before but cant help to remember all those password. but now i only have two password 1. is purely alpha 2. is with numbers,so that u have choices coz some sites will required numeric so that;s it. if u forgot the 1st password u try ur 2nd password.that's it. hope it could help.
@fheiyl
even i had trouble remembering all my passwords because i had different passwords for different websites. later, i decided to have 1 common password. but some websites required to have alphanumerical passwords. so i decide to have two. then again some websites required me to have one more character for my password. so in all now i have 3 passwords. if one doesnt work i try the other two and thats how i get through! _________________ Link removed by admin, please see new rules
i have all the same passwords... for most of my usernames actually. i change them occasionally but would usually stick to what is already tucked in my mind. _________________ When I had nothing to lose, I had everything.
Well, I just use the same password for all the sites that I log into. There is a slight variation when I use the Capital letter or add some numbers to it. But its basically the same.

hello nonstopthinker, it is sometimes difficult for me to remember all of my passwords. but for the most part, all of the websites that i visit these days, i have been for awhile now, so it just comes natural to me in logging onto a website that i am familiar with. and i think that every password that i do have is a different one. lol _________________ I'll get you my little pretty, and your little dog too!
