How this health care reform effect me and many other Americans who they do have health care coverage and need no freeby or any reform stuff. Ok If I want to see today my family Dr. with the plan that I have I might have to wait about 30 days before I can get an appointment. Now the scinerio is that, each Dr. have a case load, so many patients he or she can see a day. Now we have free health care for every one, so those who got headache or runny nose will run and see my Dr. so in reality instead of waiting 30 days now I have to wait maybe 60 or more days to see him if it's not emergecny. In case of emergency the option is open to go to any hospitial and admit to emergency room. Now they question is , yes health care reform works in Canada, works in Israel so why not USA???

I live in a land where each and every citizen gets free health care if they need it. Thats how it should be everywhere. One day every nation will be as advanced as us, and no one will go without the medication or treatments they need

Hey its fine if its working there in Britain and America.No way this is going to work in our country.If politicians bring something like that here sure i will be the person who is going to vote against it.We have seen effects of socialization and no way i am going to support it in future.Enough is enough.

It's just a matter of reformation and the type of goverment that exists. Here in the Philippines, we have a government, private and combination of both for subsidized health care institutions. However, as a member your contributions are from your work of source of income whether that is a owned or employed. Aside from the heath benefits that we have, it comes along with retirement, personal loans and among others.

Well the thing here in USA, Hospitals and drugs manafuctors are the biggest and the most profitable business on earth and I don't think they will let slip out of their grip. Mind you if you go today to a Hospital in USA the charge per room per day is about $1500 , if you look at your bill you will see the unrealistic charges that you can ever imagine to yourself.
Such as an aspirin is a $1.00 which actually cost if you buy it from drug store about 0.1 Cent . You might see Dr. visit about $100 and this could be while you are sleeping , he open the door looked at you and here we go $100.00 in his pocket. so I hope they will find some sort of formula that will be acceptable by everyone.

I am so glad our health service is set up like it is,
I have heard horror stories from Americans who cant afford basic medicines to help them cope with the conditions which afflict them
Some thing has to change, and health care has to be available for all, whether the person who needs the health care is mega rich, or unemployed.
I thought America was all about equality!!!

Poor people with no money can go to the Hospital and will be admitted, yes they are not going to be in a private room or just maybe in the hall but they will take care of them.There a Hospital in Las vegas UMC which I saw it in my eyes people went to the pharmacy and got pills that cost $20 each for free because they just didn't have the fund to pay.
Recently I went to a Colonoscpy proceedure, guess what? the bill was close to $5000 . Break down: Hospital bill for 2 hours was $1200
the Dr. who performed it $800, anystisia about $1000 and more and more charges. So thats not right , I don't have to pay but they Insurance compnies must pay those inflated bills. When I lived in NY few years back I had the same proceedure at the Dr.office which costs a penny for a Dollar. President Obama is looking into those fat bonoces that the Insurance companies paid their CEO's it's great business.

I think everyone needs to have health care too but I don`t understand what our president is really tryig to do. Its very confusing. There is talk about fining people who don`t get insurance. I hear so many stories from different soources i just don``t know what to thnk.

Charge per room per day 1500$????
Are they giving 5 start room or what??This is really scary.
We dont have this situation here yet.Room charges of good hospitals are like 40-50 dollars a day.There are cheap hospitals too which dont provide AC and TV in room and charge 15 -20 dollars a day.
Visit to family doctor cost 2-3 dollars.

Whats going on in America?Why rates of hospitals and doctors have shoot up like that?Is there scarcity of Doctors?Prices depends upon demand and supply isnt it.

Right now I don`t have insurance. To see my doctor it costs me $65. Plus i he does anything else besides my usual check up which is just talking to me because I take meds, the cost is more. They do the usual blood pressure, pulse, temperature thing but thats it. I don`t think all hospitals charge that much a day per room. I know my bill wasn`t that high. But the cost of suregry and the meds they give you and tests etc, while your there is very high.

Yes indeed it's scary if you do not have some sort of insurance coverage.
I don't think they will let any body die if they have no money and no insurance but certainly they will be the last one to get a Dr. or nurse services. As I mentioned in my last post, I had Colonoscopy in a Hospital less than a month ago and the total charges was close to $5000 yes it's outrages but let face it everybody wants to make mone from our mesury.

What they are going to cover under this insurance?Just surgery,visit to hospital or everything like visit to family doctor for cough and cold?
I am reading news about this matter but i am not able understand it completely.Are going to cover each and every expense?
Is American government is going to provide insurance to poor free of cost?

My issue with NATIONAL Health Reform is this - the cost with which the FEDERAL government will run the system is just way too high. So if they take it out of my taxes (as if they're not taking enough) - they have to pay MORE people. My question is why doesn't the FED REQUIRE States to have some form of "free" health care? I mean we already have something like this in California. And I'm not gonna bag on Medi-Cal because it's worked for my grandparents. If it becomes a state thing- then I'll be more comfortable because I know that my money will stay here in California. After all, this is where I live and this where I'm planning to raise my family and eventually die.

I don`t understand it all either. They did raise our rates for the tags on our cars though. I just paid my hubys and it went from $45 to $70. In Florida we don`t pay state tax or tax every year on our cars , just for the tags. That might change now though. I have a copy of the bill they are trying to pass I just haven`t had time to read it . It`s like 1000 pages long.And very confusing.

Thanks hoybabe and kshenz for responce.It seems no body knows exactly whats going on .I have been reading news on this matter for some time and many authors have noted different things and all have different views.I am just confuse what exactly going on there.Well lets wait and see till matter become clear.
