Video was shot at an outdoor car show. They had an Elvis clone there and he did a good job.

Well he did look and sound a bit like Elvis, so I suppose he did make a decent job although I never had the pleasure of seeing Elvis perform live so its hard for me to say.
Thanks for the video, tubefuldotcom. I was never an Elvis fan , although I did like a few of his songs, but I think this guy did a pretty good job. He did look an awful lot like Elvis from what I could see.
He sounded really great and had a good singing voice. I think that Elvis' unique singing vocals is pretty hard to duplicate. But there are tons of Elvis impersonators. I wonder if they have to pay royalties to Priscilla when they do shows as Elvis?
Probably not, as I dont think there is any legal obligation to do so, and if there were, then none of these people would make much money at it.
They had an Elvis convention here, it was on the telly, and it amazed me that there were so many people impersonating him.
I wonder if there will be a glut of Wacko Jacko impersonators soon.
Re royalties - in theory, live versions are probably subjected to royalties but in practice, probably not. I think there are organizations that collect for artists' royalties. I can see them checking broadcast logs for songs on radio but for small time one-off venues like the one in the video, probably not. Then again, maybe they could base it on my video. LOL.
Note- Hurt was not written by Elvis, so no royalties to the Elvis camp. According to the singer on this video, he mentioned it was an Ella Fitzgerald tune.
Off-topic note - If Lisa-Marie and Michael Jackson had a kid when they were together, that kid would have 3 huge song catalogs under control - Elvis, MJ and the Beatles. _________________ Well, once we had an easy ride and always felt the same

well i still think nothing beats the original. this guy sure is a great talent but people do know elvis and (to those who don't) probably has searched him already. he he i guess there is no problem singing his song, elvis for that matter unless the version is distributed and/or sold in record bars right? _________________ When I had nothing to lose, I had everything.
Regarding royalties, I had a teammate who was in a few Bon Jovi and Aerosmith albums. I think he arranged the horn section parts. Every so often, he gets a royalty cheque in the mail. _________________ Well, once we had an easy ride and always felt the same
