Some people especially the office goers have this typical habits of cleaning their ears with the ball pens. They will insert the ball pens in the ear and try to extract the dirt from within. This can really harm the ear drum, which is very delicate part, if it is punctured then one has to undergo the surgery to repair it. Here in India, the medical stores are selling specially made ear buds to clean the ear but people will only use the ball pens.
Do you have this nasty habit ?
Really very dirty habits, we should not followed hat method, because as you knew that the ears are very sensitive organs which may spoiled very easily by using something wrong instruments. Whenever you have any problems you must visit to your ENT specialist in order to check properly and he is the one right persons to find out the reasons and also will advise you to remove the excess amount of wax by using simple was solution. If you anybody here may experienced by this problems then I can recommend you to use the ear solution is called " WAXOL " , just add 5 drops into the ear and just wait for 5 minutes and then clean your ear with pure and sterilized cotton buds, all the waste or wax is coming out without any problems.
Oh that's disgusting hobbit . I reckon the only people who do that is thus who doesn't clean there ears everyday after shower. . I cannot believe there are actually some people like this. Aside that ball pen is very dangerous the hygiene around the workplace. What if somebody barrow that pen or the cleaning person at the office clean the place and wipe the cleaning clothe where you put the dirty pen from the ears then the bacteria scattered around the place.
Thanks though I will be really careful now borrowing pens.

what? a ball pen? are you serious? well of course it's a big NO NO. if people do use ball pens in cleaning their eyes then i guess cotton buds would be of no use.

I have also saw the same habits in some people. Our whole class has avoid that habit because of a class about the ear. Its not only a bad habit also it damages the ear. We know that dont insert sharp objects in ear, still we are not avoiding it. Thank god i dont have such a bad habit. _________________ Each second is valuable in our life, so make it for a proper use. Remember it will not come back forever....
Not only is that gross, it's also not safe for your ears and your ear-drums. You don't just go around poking in your ears like that. It can cause some serious damage! So be careful and think twice before you poke yourself! _________________ It is what it is.

Yukk, just thinking about it makes me feel a bit on the squeamish side.
I don't clean my ears with a ballpen because it's really dangerous. Even a cotton bud could damage your ear drums, and I think using a ballpen makes the risk higher. People who clean their ears with ballpens should really stop that bad habit before they become deaf.
definitely i don't. i don't want to take the risk of hurting my eardrums or else i will go deaf. ahaha. it is not a good habit of using ballpens just so you can clean your ears. another thing it is unhygienic looking right. that is why q-tips were made because they are for the ears and ballpens were created to use it for writing not using them as alternatives for ear picking. and it is gross too. _________________ -=21sckroochie21=-
Oh MEGA YUCK... that has got to be one of the most disgusting habits I have ever heard about. And as Jimbo says if they stick that pen in their mouth afterwards, eeeeekkkk. It is not only a disgusting habit but it is also dangerous. You know you can do so much damage to your ear - the inner ear drum is so sensitive, you really do have to be careful. I am careful when I use a Q-tip (you know the stick with cotton buds at each end)... because even they can do damage to your inner ear. _________________ Early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese!
NO I don't clean my ears with a pen. I think it would be too dangerous to do such a thf ing. I have seen other peoople pick stuff with their pen. Then you would chew on the pen. that really interested me.
